BH Baits is a family-run bait company in Covington, Louisiana, hand-pouring soft plastic baits for freshwater and saltwater fishing. What started as a hobby in a garage on the north shore is still poured by the same hands, we just make a lot more of them now. Bass worms, speckled trout swimbaits, flounder grubs, redfish paddle tails, saltwater curly tails, and panfish plastics, every one made in Louisiana and made in the USA.

Fishing a stained bayou that eats every color you own? Tournament coming up and the fish want something they haven't seen? Tell us the species, the water, and what's been working, and we'll pour it to your spec. Custom color blends, custom sizing, and saltwater formulations built to survive redfish. Most custom orders turn around fast, because we know you've got a trip on the calendar and a late bait helps nobody.

We're a family operation, not a call center, so when you reach out you're talking to the people who actually pour the baits. Ask what's biting on the north shore, ask about live bait, or ask us which plastic to throw in stained water. We'd rather spend two minutes on the phone and get you the right bait than sell you the wrong one and never hear from you again.

Poured, Then Checked

Every bait we make is poured by hand, one at a time. Then somebody looks at it. That sounds like a small thing until you've fished a bag of factory plastics where half sit crooked on the hook and roll wrong on the retrieve. We inspect each one before it goes in a bag, because the only thing that actually matters is whether it swims right when you throw it.

We're based in Covington and we travel to our customers, so if you're around Covington, Bush, or Franklinton, local pickup is usually easy to sort out. Farther out than that, we ship. Either way it's a quick conversation rather than a guessing game, and you'll know exactly when your baits are coming. Tell us where you are and when you're fishing, and we'll figure out the rest.
